Cataract Surgery

A cataract develops when proteins in your eye's lens break down and clump together, creating a cloudy area that interferes with vision. You might notice colors appearing faded, increased sensitivity to bright lights, or difficulty reading and driving—especially at night. Cataracts are a natural part of aging, but they don't have to limit your lifestyle.

Cataract surgery is a straightforward outpatient procedure where the cloudy lens is gently removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). Recovery is quick, and most patients experience significantly clearer vision within a few days. Today's premium lens options can even correct astigmatism and reduce the need for reading glasses.

We offer the following cataract surgery options:

  • Modern small-incision Cataract Surgery
  • Toric Intraocular Lens Implants for astigmatism correction
  • Limbal Relaxing Incisions to address astigmatism
  • Premium Advanced Technology IOLs for enhanced visual freedom

Glaucoma Surgery

Glaucoma refers to a group of conditions that damage the optic nerve, typically caused by abnormally high pressure in the eye. Because the disease usually develops gradually without pain or obvious symptoms, many people don't realize they have it until permanent vision loss has occurred. Regular comprehensive eye exams are your best defense against glaucoma.

Though vision lost to glaucoma cannot be recovered, the disease can be managed effectively with proper treatment. Eye drops are often the first line of defense. When additional intervention is needed, our surgeons perform a range of procedures—from minimally invasive options to traditional surgeries—designed to lower eye pressure and protect your remaining vision.

Glaucoma treatments available at our center:

  • iStent — microscopic implant to improve natural fluid outflow
  • Endocyclophotocoagulation (ECP) — targeted laser to reduce eye pressure
  • Kahook Dual Blade Goniotomy — tissue removal for better drainage
  • Trabeculectomy — surgical creation of a drainage channel
  • Laser Peripheral Iridotomy — preventive treatment for narrow angles
  • Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) — non-incisional laser therapy
  • MicroPulse Laser Trabeculoplasty — low-energy laser alternative
